Daftar Lengkap Nominasi Academy Awards 2021, Film Mank Masuk 10 Kategori

CANTIKA.COM, Jakarta - Daftar lengkap nominasi Academy Awards 2021 telah diumumkan. Tahun ini, perempuan dan keberagaman jadi kata kuncinya. 

Dua perempuan dinominasikan untuk kategori sutradara terbaik. Ini menjadi kali pertama lebih dari satu perempuan masuk kategori itu sepanjang sejarah 93 tahun gelaran Oscar. Sementara, terkait keberagaman, sembilan dari 20 nominasi memiliki latar belakang etnis minoritas.

Hal menarik olainnya adalah fakta bahwa Mank, film besutan David Fincher masuk di 10 kategori. Mulai dari aktris pendukung terbaik, aktor pemeran utama terbaik, sutradara terbaik, hingga kategori film terbaik. 

Untuk kategori sutradara terbaik, David Fincher akan berhadapan dengan Thomas Vinterberg, Lee Isaac Chung, Chloe Zao, dan Emerald Fennell. Tentu ini menjadi pertarungan yang menarik.

Kategori utama ini bukan hanya diisi oleh dua perempuan, tapi juga perempuan keturunan Cina. Sementara Chlo Lee Isaac Chung adalah sutradara keturunan Korea. 

Mendiang Chadwik Boseman juga masuk nominasi lewat perannya sebagai Davis dalam film Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. Ini adalah peran terakhirnya sebelum dia meninggal karena kanker pada usia 43 tahun lalu.

Bintang yang banyak digemari, yang juga dikenal lewat perannya di Black Panther, menjadi favorit untuk diberi penghargaan aktor terbaik.

Jika Boseman berhasil mendapatkan piala Oscari, dia akan menjadi pemenang aktor terbaik anumerta kedua setelah Peter Finch pada tahun 1976.
